Monologues #4
performance in-situ, 2025, 60'
Monologues #4 is a silent group walk that invites us to lie in wait, to watch for the dancer as one watches for a rare and discreet bird. And through this quality of attention, the entire landscape appears to us as alive, moving, dancing. By allowing himself to be moved by the bent grass, the soggy ground, and the caressed tree bark, Gabriel unfurls a dancing poem about the vulnerability of a world that is withering away. And with great care, he invites us into the joint emotion of a body and a landscape, composing together a choreography whose gestures and voices participate in the same vibrant matter.
